Surrounded by her daughters, Christine “Chris” Mary Prasher, nee Zarem, age 86, passed away peacefully at home in Arizona on March 06, 2023. Born in Chicago, IL on January 8th, 1937 to Anastasia (Iwanowski) and Martin Zarem, Christine attended Madonna Girls Catholic High School.
Christine was a compassionate spirit whose love was caring for others. She volunteered in many roles including Banner Health, Arrowhead Community Hospital (Sow Seeds of Love), St. Clement of Rome Woman’s Guild and was an active member of many clubs in Sun City, AZ such as Polish Club and First Ladies Club (Red Hat). She was also an active parishioner at St. Clements of Rome and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Churches.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts, reading, traveling, volunteering, visiting with family / friends and had an entrepreneur spirit. Her most cherished memories were of the many children she cared for over her 33+ year career as a daycare provider.
Our mother never met a stranger, was selfless and adventurous who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to all and she will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched across the country. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to and strive to follow.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI just wanted to say that I’ve known Mrs. Prasher since 1987. I first met her daughter Nancy at a Country club in Glendale, A.Z. I was 21 and in the ARMY. Nancy was about 14. My Parents lived across the street from the Prashers. Chris was very friendly and kind to me. I’m sorry for your loss; Nancy, Margarette, and the rest of the Prasher Family. She will be greatly missed.
