Christine Barker 61of Frankfort, IN, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home, in the presence of her family. Born June 3, 1951 in Frankfort, IN to the late John & Helen (Simmons) Dorner. She married Gene Barker on June 7, 1986 and he survives. Mrs. Barker was a 1969 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a big heart for animals. Among her many interests were; reading, camping, traveling, gardening, canning and going to Gene’s bowling tournaments.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by her son Tres. Visitation will be Friday, November 2nd from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Romney, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society or the Guardian Angel Hospice.

Husband: Gene Barker of Frankfort 4 Daughters: Katherine (Andy Keith) McClain of Frankfort, Kristen (Greg Brandenburg) Watson of Kirklin, Gina (Jared) Fennell of New Ross and Christine (Rodney Ross) Ragains of Mulberry 2 Sons: Tres (Carrie) Barker of Sheridan and Bill Paige of Florida 2 Sisters: Jerilynn (Kenny) Hodson of Rossville and Suzann (Ronald) Wainscott of Mulberry 21 Grandchildren

    Our heartfelt sympathy extends to each of you. Although only remember Christine as a youngster as she was the baby sister of our dear Kyger Grade School & Frankfort High School friends, Jerilyn & Suzie. It is always so hard to lose a dear sister. Know Christine will be missed by all of her family. Be thankful for all of the sweet memories you’ve made. Time will heal your hurting hearts. Please know you are in our prayers. God Bless.     I am so sorry for the loss of Chris. She was a childhood playmate of mine while growing up on W. Armstrong St. I have wonderful memories of that time. My condolences to you all. She now has her angel wings.
