Charles S. McCracken (79), of Lebanon, IN, passed away in the early hours of November 11, 2023. Charles, better known as Steve, was born to Maurice McCracken and Charlene (McCracken) Speaker on September 5, 1944, in Frankfort, IN. He attended Clinton Prairie High School (Jackson Township), graduating in 1963. Steve proudly served in our Nations Military, serving in the United States Navy from 1967 – 1970. He was stationed overseas during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his career in engineering and sales of heating and ventilation systems, as well as teaching classes of the same craft at ITT Technical Institute and Ivy Tech. Steve, (KBR9PS), loved spending time with his grandkids and had a strong passion for Amateur Ham Radio where he made connections all over the world.
Visitation and Services
Steve’s family will host visitation services Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 1-3 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, IN. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.

his wife Karen and three children, Sean, Chris, and Angela. He is also survived by eight (8) grandchildren and two (2) great-grandchildren.
