Facebook Twitter GoogleChuck was a great friend mine for almost sixty years and was a outstanding police officer and a great Marine! During his time in the Marine Corps he was a highly decorated and outstanding service to his country. The only thing that he love more than his country was his family. While in the Marine Corps him and I both came home on leave at the same time and we had a wonderful time in Frankfort. (I really can’t go in the many details because he later became a policeman and I became a Sheriff’s Deputy!)

Facebook Twitter GoogleA man who had served his nation. Worn the uniform of the United States Marines with Esprit De Corps. As if that risk was not enough, he returned home and continued that risk to serve his community in the uniform of the Law Enforcement Community. Men like Officer Chuck Toney are those who make America great. It was an honor and I was proud to have served with him at the Frankfort Police Department. Facebook Twitter GoogleChuck was always a fun kind of hard nose with me. Giving me a hard time every time he saw me, or mock chastising me with his finger pointing. All in fun. I didn’t know him personally, but I knew him to be a fair, disciplined, and good cop. His kind are hard to find. He will be missed. My condolences to his wife, and children (whom I went to school with). I never called him Chuck, it was always affectionately Toney, which he took with pride and a smile. GOD SPEED TONEY.

Facebook Twitter GoogleTheresa, was very sadden to hear of Chucks passing. Uncle Jesse contacted me with the sad news. My Condolences goes to you and the family. I will to the drive Friday. Just to say a little about chucks… I remember the younger days when we went out to their house and played. We went to their house in Lebanon, we were playing outside and as I recall, he had a stick and was poking at wasp nest! They got mad and he got stung right between the eyes. It was not funny but after the swelling went down, he could see again. Just some childhood memories. I am so proud of Charlie’s accomplishments. Right after high school, he joined the Marines and was shipped out to the Vietnam War. Charles served two tours in Nam was injured several times and received 2 PURPLE hearts. He was and is still a true hero through and through. Theresa, thank you for being a wonderful wife, best friend and standing with him. If I could have come to his services, this is what I would said, “He loved his children very much and was my HERO.” Beth

Facebook Twitter GoogleSo sorry for the families loss. The community of Frankfort has lost one of the most dedicated police officers they’ve ever had. I was a very young kid when Chuck became a police officer. Chuck would stop by engine 3 fire department and play basketball with us kids. He educated us all on the rights and wrongs of life. He will be greatly missed in the Frankfort Community.
