Charles E. “Chick” “Charlie” Kallner, 93, a former Frankfort resident, died at 9:30 a.m. April 5, 2021 at Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living, Brownsburg, Ind. He was born July 15, 1927 in Clinton County, Indiana to Fleet & Dorothy (Skeen) Kallner. He married Regina M. Morgan on February 5, 1954 and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2013.
Chick was a 1945 graduate of Frankfort High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served overseas during WWII. He retired from Chrysler Transmission in Kokomo after 28 years. He was a former member of the Frankfort and Brownsburg American Legions and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg. While living in Frankfort his faith grew while being a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Colts, Pacers, Notre Dame, Purdue University and Indiana University.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 12 Noon-1 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2029 S. SR 39, Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Daughter: Melinda “Mindy” (Ed) Wallis of Brownsburg, Son: Casey (Kathy Heninger) Kallner of Brownsburg, 3 Grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Bell of Brownsburg, Kristen (Matt) Hines of Brownsburg, Matthew Charles (Nikki Hanson) Kallner of Chicago, 4 Great Grandchildren: Kyler Ryan Bell, Quinn Bell and Addison & Emma Hines.

He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel A. Kallner on November 27, 2009 and 4 brothers, Jimmy, Richard, John C and Keith Kallner
