Catherine “Katie” Loop Copenhaver 92, a former Frankfort resident, died at 9:05 a.m. June 10, 2015 at her home in Greenwood. Born December 11, 1922 in Frankfort, IN to Chester L. & Zana (Rather) Loop. She married Morris Copenhaver on May 12, 1940 in the Scotland Christian Church and together they raised three children. He preceded her in death February 28, 1997. Mrs. Copenhaver attended school in Frankfort and was a member of the First Christian Church in Frankfort. She later moved her membership to South Park Christian Church in Indianapolis. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Frankfort and the Women’s League of the Salvation Army in Clearwater, FL. She logged over one thousand hours as a volunteer at the Red Cross food bank and worked as a volunteer for the Julietta Convalescent Center.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Sunday, June 14, 2015 with the service beginning at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home. Pastor Pam McCall will officiate. Burial will be Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Son: Larry L. (Linda) Copenhaver of Beech Grove, 2 Daughters: Mary Ann Meier of Ladera Ranch, California, Janie K. (Bob) Forster of Laguna Hills, California, Sister, Martha Helen Smith of Wyoming, 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

a sister, Christina Behr and great granddaughters, Margaret and Leighanna Brown.
I was lucky to have met Katie during the three years I was back in Indianapolis for nursing school. I enjoyed our chats and short visits. Rest in peace my friend.
