Carl Edward Laflen 71, of Michigantown, IN, died October 26, 2011 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. Born May 30, 1940 in Boone County, Indiana to the late Charles & Grace Mae (Curnutt) Laflen. He married Marilyn S. Wells on February 28, 1962 and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2005. Mr. Laflen attended Frankfort High School. A lifelong Clinton County resident, Mr. Laflen was a farmer. He was a member of the V.F.W.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 8 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

2 Daughters: Elizabeth (Alan) Sharpe of Frankfort and Brenda (Jeff) Eckert of Russiaville 2 Sons: Darrain (Jackie) Laflen of Brookston and David (Michelle) Laflen of Crawfordsville 1 Brother: Junior (Companion Lucy) Laflen of Frankfort 17 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn, 1 granddaughter, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

    Our family, feels the pain of the loss of your Dad. Carl is at rest with the woman he loved for so many years reunited with her and his Heavenly Father. He will be missed and now our prayers are lifted up to each one of you, that Jesus will give you all the comfort and peace that he can only give during this time of grieving.
