Beverly Jeanne Ellison, 83, of rural Mulberry, died August 7, 2021 at Mulberry Health. She was born July 27, 1938 in Lafayette, Ind. to Jacob & Katherine (King) Gertzen. She married CA Ellison on January 11, 1958 in Lafayette and he survives.
Beverly attended grade school at Seventh Day Adventist in Lafayette and was a 1957 graduate of Indiana Academy, Cicero, Ind. She had worked at the Mulberry Grocery Store and Purdue University, retiring from there in 2003. Beverly enjoyed flowers, bird watching, canning, chickens, collecting eggs, games, playing cards and crocheting. She made afghans for all the grandchildren and the great grandchildren, and loved spending time with them. She and CA loved to watch the cars go by on SR 38 while sitting in their garage.

Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Kevin Smith, of the Mulberry United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fair Haven Cemetery, Mulberry. Memorial donations may be made to Mulberry United Methodist Church, c/o Operation Christmas Child, 206 Jefferson Road, Mulberry, IN 46058.

2 Daughters: Kathy (Bob) Harris of rural Frankfort, Ruth (Tony) Marty of rural Frankfort, Son: John (Cheri) Ellison of Lafayette, 3 Brothers: Robert (Sharon) Gertzen of W. Lafayette, Jack (Sue) Gertzen of Oregon, Donald Gertzen of Lafayette, 2 Sisters: Betty Chalmers of Lafayette, Helen Ferro of Lafayette, 9 Grandchildren, Rob Harris, Elisha Surber, Carl Marty, Jake Marty, Jacqueline Kelly, Jillian Oppenheim, Cathryn Ellison, Evan Marty and Caroline Ellison and 6 Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ellison, Karligh, Taylor, Colton and Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary.
Please know that we are there in spirit! Our hearts ache with the loss of Bev! We will cherish the memories we have of her and CA when we came to visit. She always made us feel welcome and that she was so happy we were there, we’re so grateful for the time we had with her.
