Betty Jane Davis Paulsen, 90, a lifelong Frankfort resident, died April 24, 2023 at Wesley Manor. She was born February 9, 1933 in Frankfort, Ind. to the late Walter H. & Laura D. (Davis) Davis. She married Paul Paulsen Jr., on May 17, 1971 in Terre Haute and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2001.
Betty was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School and a 1954 graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in Business. She was a corporate secretary for Ingram-Richardson, Inc., retiring from there in 1976. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was choir director and organist for many years and was organist for Goodwin Funeral Home for over 30 years. Her other memberships include; National Secretaries Assoc, where she was Secretary in 1964, Clinton Chapter #6, Order of Eastern Star, where she was Secretary for many years, Worthy Matron in 1981 & 1990, Grand Organist of the Indiana Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in 1993-1994, Women of the Moose for over 50 years, Life Member of Indiana University Alumni Association, Friends of the Library, and served as choir mother for the Frankfort Rainbow Assembly and received the Grand Cross of Color.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the Order of Eastern Star Service at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 455, Frankfort, IN 46041.

To Mary Jane’s family, so sorry for your loss. I was a neighbor living with Lisa King’s grandma before I married–talked with Betty & her folks many times on Mrs. Swope’s porch.
