So sorry that you’ve lost your mom, but so happy we got to know her here in Rochester. We first met her at the beauty shop where she and my mom began a nice friendship. Then we always saw her Sunday mornings at church. Finally we enjoyed taking her Meals on Wheels. Betty always had a smile and kind words. She was a genuine caring, happy lady who brightened up anyone’s day who was fortunate to see her. I miss her. You kids always took such good care of her and spent much time with her. She was a very special lady!!

    Jean & Family,
So sorry for the loss of your Mom. I’m so glad that I got to know her, talk & laugh with her, spend lunches with her & her friends at the dinner table at Miller’s. I know my Mom (Margaret Belcher) always liked her company & asked about her when she wasn’t sitting there with them. Even trying to talk her in to doing things with them. They were their own little family which made it special. Sometimes there is sadness when we can’t be with our loved ones when we want to. But, it made me happy when I could get a smile or laugh out of her, hoping it would brighten her day. And Jean, it was always nice to talk with you too; sharing our thoughts, and just listening to each of our concerns and sadness of things we couldn’t control. Coming & going I’d sneak a peak in her room just to say hi & get a little smile out of her. I will miss that but I truly believe she is really smiling now. Many prayers to you & all your family. Take care & God Bless.

I started this note of sympathy over and over and then I realized that there are no words to express my feelings about the loss of your Mom. She was one of the kindest Mom’s I had the privilege of knowing from a very, very young age. (You know she put up with a lot from us girls). She was such a dear, sweet lady and you are two lucky girls to have had a wonderful woman you called Mom. My deepest sympathy. R.I.P. Betty

Girls I was just thinking about your mom lately and today just read about her passing. I would of loved to have come and visited at Goodwin’s. Your mom was very special and have truly missed talking to her. We used to talk at Aaron’s ballgames. She was the sweetest person I think I ever met. Sorry for your loss but she’s in good hands now.
