Bethany Nicole (Wright) Ojeda, originally from Frankfort, IN., was unexpectedly taken into Heaven from her home in Phoenix, AZ., on February 24, 2024, in the early morning hours. She was 39 years old. Bethany “Beth” was born on December 9, 1984 at the E.L.W.A. Hospital in Montserrado County, Liberia, West Africa – to Phil & Pam (Dick) Wright, who were serving as missionaries in Liberia at the time.
Bethany was home-schooled while living in Liberia, but when back in the states attended Lincoln Grade School when a child, then attended Clinton Prairie School for a time, but graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 2003, as a true “Hot Dog.” Bethany then attended Ball State University for 2 years and got her CNA. She worked at Wesley Manor for a time, and then moved to Phoenix. In Phoenix Bethany was continuing her studies, when she had one marvelous son born to her in October of 2010. Bethany was close to achieving her RN degree while working at the Banner Thunderbird Hospital – when in February of 2013, the blurring of her vision and the headaches had become strong. During the next 11 years of her life she experienced a brain tumor and surgery resulting in the loss of her left eye vision and some of the right eye vision, and the removal of her pituitary gland, an open chest heart surgery, several hernia surgeries, diabetes & kidney failure, and a gastric bypass surgery which eliminated her diabetes – and which also put a real “bounce back into her step” for these last 2 years. Had one not visited her when in the hospital or when at home recovering, one would’ve never known any of this – as she was one of the most “appreciative of life” people one would ever meet. Happy, bubbly, laughing, cutting up – and never really complaining. She would simply say that she just needed to “put on her big girl pants – and deal with it!”
Bethany had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age, and had no doubts about her going to Heaven when she stepped out of this temporal life. She had an intense love and loyalty to her family, but especially to her son Ian, who was a main focus in her life. She highly anticipated coming home each year for the Hot Dog Festival and really enjoyed going out to the park for the July 4th celebration. She just loved to meet people.
The funeral service will be live-streamed at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024. Please click on the link below to participate.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI had Bethany in Second Grade and she was a delightful child. I remember how she told us all about Sea Anemones! It was such a BIG word for such a little girl to say. I remember how cheerful she was-always smiling! I taught for 26 years at Clinton Prairie and I only have a handful of students I remember like it was yesterday and Bethany is one of them. I am so sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace.
