Belva Jane Barnett 90, of rural Kirklin, Ind., died July 18, 2016 at Homewood Health Campus, Lebanon, Ind. Born September 25, 1925 in Clinton County to Thomas & Frieda (Sharp) Spray. She married Paul Barnett Jr. on June 17, 1944 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2014. Mrs. Barnett was a 1943 graduated from Kirklin High School. She moved to Boone County in 1956. A homemaker and farm wife, she worked at Pow Wow Daycare and Kidsworld Daycare both in Thorntown, Ind. for 10 years. She was a member of the Scotland Christian Church and the Jolly Dozen Euchre Club. Belva enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, flowers and feeding the birds.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 22nd at the funeral home. Ken Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Scotland Church.

(Linda) Barnett of Kirklin, 2 Brothers: Gilbert F. ‘Si’ (Edna May) Spray of Frankfort, Tom (Vicki) Spray Jr. of Kempton, 2 Grandchildren: Jeffrey L. (Denae) Barnett of Zionsville, Jason C. (Jodi) Barnett of Lebanon, 6 Great Grandsons, Tyler, Bryce, Ryan, Wyatt, Ethan and Colton.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Spray.
