So sorry for your loss. Belva was a great lady. Always smiling. I know it was her wish to stay in her home until the end. She used to come to the Post Office and talk to me(both her ans Sara). She use to send me lots of jokes via email. Mikes family were friends with her and Hubert for years. Margaret use to tell me they would drop off fresh melons from the garden every year. The earth has lost a very good soul.

Dear Cindy & Family & Dick & Family,
Your Mother and Father were like family to us growing up in Michigantown. There are several memories I would like to share with you. Your Mother was always kind, caring and calm. Belva was our favorite babysitter, this was before she was married to Hubert. They were a lovely couple and well thought of by everyone. Our family (Dad Joe & Mother Bea, Gary, Gloria, Donna, Julia 8 months), attended their wedding and went to her parents home to “See them off’ on their Honeymoon. As Hubert was pulling out of the driveway, your Mom said stop the car. She then called out to me to come to her car door and handed me a gift box. She said, “I have had this for your birthday for two months and have not had a chance to give this to you. Then she added these words that I will never forget, “I think you are old enough to have this. After they left, I opened the gift and it was a perfume called Evening in Paris! It was my first perfume. I was a six year old girl treated as a young lady in a sweet and thoughtful way. We stayed in touch by Christmas cards and letters and phone calls. Brother Greg was born in 1952 and he and Gary lived with your Mom and Dad for a short time right before Andrew came along. A final story is when Dad was in intensive care in Tipton, and the doctor said Dad only had a short time left. Belva called to check on Dad and then said they would be right there. She and Hubert sat with us in the waiting room and that brought strength to all of us without many words being said. That is what I meant when I said, your Mom and Dad were like family to us. We were blessed by their kindness, friendship and love.

    Dearest family of Belva’s,
Belva was beautiful inside & out. I remember my mother, Britta Sheets always said the same. She was one of the pillar women of the United Methodist church & role model for the younger women in church. God bless her & I know my mother, in Heaven, will be happy to see her!

Belva was as close to a sister as I will ever have. We grew up to Frankfort together. While I still lived there, she would come and stay with me and I had to keep her busy or she got homesick and called her dad to take her home. After I moved to Michigantown we would sit on the front porch and play canasta and bridge. We stayed close all our lives and I cant tell you how much I will miss her. Some of this is messed because my computer is fouled up. But I am able to tell you how much I loved her.

  12. From Rick’s Family November 5, 2020 at 10:02 am

    To The Family,
We would like to extend our condolences to the friends and family of Belva Rule, we are so sorry for your loss. We also know how happy Hubert and Belva must be, to be together again. Belva was a very kind and thoughtful person. She was a great mother and grandmother and, she was our friend and family. We shared the marriage of our son and daughter, sister and brother, Cindy and Rick and the births of our grandchildren and nephew and niece, Rhett and Chaye. Those were the most special and wonderful times. There were many more celebrations and holidays that we shared through the years. Those times were filled with lots of love, family and friends. Belva always brought humor, kindness and sense of togetherness to everyone. She was our loved friend and family. We will all miss you very much and would like to bid you a blessed trip home. Fly with the angels, Belva.

Cindy, We are saddened to hear about your mom. I saw Belva about one year ago when I was visiting my mom, Carolyn Brant. I had taken her to club and had lunch with the group. It was so nice to see familiar faces after so many years. I was happy to see your mom’s sweet smile once again! (I was in your brother’s class) Mom wanted me to express how much she enjoyed being in club with Belva! So kind and pleasant to be with! Your mom also graduated with my dad, Earl Brant. Know that you are in our prayers at this time, and may Jesus give you strength and comfort.

  14. Steve & Kathy Miner November 6, 2020 at 7:31 pm

    Cindy,
Kathy & I were saddened to learn of Belva’s passing. She was such a good friend to my mother, Marybeth. Marybeth stopped driving at one point for fear of hurting someone. Soon after Belva volunteered to drive her and my brother Rich around Frankfort for grocery shopping, prescriptions and other necessary errands. This arrangement went on for years and they became very good friends.
What a gift it was…and one not forgotten. We didn’t know Belva well, but what a special person she was to the Miner family.
