Barry J. Snyder

April 1, 2020

Barry J. Snyder passed away at Wesley Manor on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the age of 73.  His spirit of love and legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  Parkinson’s no longer binds him.

Barry was born on July 22, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona to Buren & Betty (Bolen) Snyder.  He began a love story with Nancy Ricker and they married on March 29, 1968, celebrating 52 happy years together.

Special thanks to Barry’s soul brother Ed and his wife, Jane Ricker; treasured cousins, Lou Ann, Christie, Lea and Janet and much-loved little cousins.  Special appreciation to young friend Sam, soul sister Di Smith, his rock and roll dance partner, Diana Ross and all his visiting friends.

He leaves behind his church family at St. Matthews, loving caregivers, Rock Steady family, Guardian Angel Hospice, all the nurses, and health care workers at Wesley Manor, and Chaplain Deborah. He has joined His Heavenly Creator, daughter, Keely Jo and son, Rod Christian.

Barry loved life and his family.  While having many accomplishments, his greatest triumph was giving his life to God and believing “Thy Will be Done.”
