Barbara (Unger) Spencer, 88, of Frankfort, died January 23, 2024. Born October 14, 1935 in Clinton County, she was the daughter to the late Ralph Raymond Unger & Catherine ”Katie” (Whiteman) Unger Lytle. In 1954 she married Richard M. Spencer, who preceded her in death.
Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Forest High School and was baptized at the Faith Church of Christ in Burlington. She had worked at P.R. Mallory, USDA, manager of Holiday Court, Kroger and Walmart before retiring in 2007. Barbara loved playing cards, games, sewing, cook outs with her children and grandchildren and playing with and walking her little black toy poodle, Phoebe.
Visitation and Services
Per Barbara’s wishes, a private family graveside was held in Middlefork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or American Heart Association

Surviving are three daughters, Lori (Scott) Davis Nettles of Indianapolis, LuAnne Sanders of Frankfort, Lisa (Randy) Davis of Burlington, a son, Richard N. Spencer of Frankfort, 8 grandchildren, Andrew Davis of Seattle, WA, Kyra Davis of Indianapolis, Kolton Mickle of Kokomo, Jamie Sanders of Frankfort, Ricky Spencer of Kokomo, Rosanna Spencer of Frankfort, Nathan Davis of Burlington, Benjamin Davis of Kokomo, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Sharon Milligan of Clinton County, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne & Ronnie Unger, sister, Betty Harris and three grandchildren, Richie, Misty and Robbie Spencer.
