Amanda Nichole Parker – 24, of Frankfort, IN, died at 9:47 a.m. December 27, 2015 at home.  Born February 7, 1991 in Jamestown, TN to Steven B. & Teresa J. (Harris) Parker.  Amanda was home schooled and attended Roane State Community College in Crossville, TN. She had lived in Jamestown, TN, Monterey, TN, Point Pleasant, WV, Nashville, TN and since 2012 in Frankfort, IN. Amanda was a member of the Bethel Bible Holiness Church in Frankfort. She loved scrapbooking, music, traveling, reading, playing the snare drum at church and shopping at Goodwill.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. In memory of Amanda, memorial donations may be made to the Addyson Parker College Education Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Survived by:

Parents: Steven B. & Teresa J. Parker of Frankfort, Sister: Macey B. Parker of Frankfort, Brother: Drake (Megan) Parker of Frankfort and Niece: Addyson Parker of Frankfort.

Preceded by:

her paternal grandparents, Bradley & Ozell Parker, maternal grandparents, Paul & Hazel Harris and a cousin, Bradley Harris.

    Amanda was a beautiful person inside and out, always happy smiling young lady. She had goals set, God let her have her wishes for Drake & Megan’s wedding. Also, for coming home to be with her family at Christmas, giving them their gifts from her. Amanda was a gift herself to all! She is not suffering or in pain, she is with our Heavenly Father!! We pray God will give you all strength and encouragement to get you all through this loss.. Amanda will never be forgotten, she was a very strong person, faithful servant.. Love You All!! God Bless You All!!!

    Words aren’t enough to say I’m sorry. She was taken young but to a heavenly Father she belongs. I go to my Father’s house to prepare a home for you. That is what Amanda is doing now preparing your rooms.

    I haven’t seen Amanda for several years, but we were really good friends when she lived in Point Pleasant, WV. Amanda was such a fun person to be around. We shared many laughs, went on a few trips together, and created many memories during the few years that we were close friends. Unfortunately, we grew apart when we moved to different areas. I will always remember the fun times that we shared and will smile when I think of her. I am so sorry for your loss and am thinking and praying for you all.

    I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Though I did not know Amanda personally, I read her memorial and the comments of her family and friends, and I am deeply touched. May you find comfort in your memories of Amanda and in Bible promises like Revelation 21:3,4. There, Jehovah God promises a future free of death and suffering. Until this happens, remember that you can throw your anxiety on God, because he cares for you personally (1 Peter 5:7).

    I will always have fond memories of Amanda like dorm pranks at camp and prayer sessions over anything and everything. We could always share a laugh. God has truly blessed heaven with Amanda’s smile and spirit.

    We are so glad that we got to visit with our great-niece Amanda & our niece Teresa when they came to Chicago so Amanda could see & visit some of the sites of the city. Amanda was a very sweet, beautiful young lady. She will be greatly missed. She is in a much better place where there is no more pain. We all have another guardian angel in Heaven to watch over us.     Amanda is truly a pure beauty. I know you are so proud of who she was, what she stood for, and the joy she brought to your lives.

    Oh I am so sorry to hear about Amanda I didn’t know or I would have came and showed my respects. I am thinking of Teresa and her siblings. She always had a smile on her face when she came to the clinic no matter how she was feeling. She will be missed. My prayers are with you all.
