Alta Jane Torrez, 83, of Frankfort, died September 23, 2017 at I.U. Health Frankfort Hospital.  Born May 13, 1934 in Frankfort, Ind. to Clarence & Mary Edith (Rice) Kemmerer.  She married Reynaldo Torrez and they divorced.

Alta attended Michigantown Schools.  She worked for Carr Cabinet.

Visitation and Services

No services are planned. Goodwin Funeral Home and Clinton County Crematory are handling the arrangements.

Preceded by:

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 4 brothers; Charlie, William, Frank and Ralph Kemmerer.

    I grew up on Sullivan Street and I used to see Alta in her back yard working on her garden and I would always speak to her. She was such a nice lady. Prayers from our family to Rey and his family.
