Alice Joan (Hart) Beaver

Alice Joan (Hart) Beaver was born October 14, 1934 in Princeton, IN to the late Paul and Olive Hart. Her marriage was to David L. Beaver in Bloomington in 1951. A 1951 graduate of Lafayette High School, she attended Long Beach State, receiving her BA in 1965 and her MA in 1972. She grew up in Frankfort, lived her adult life in Southern, CA and lived a year in Italy. An English teacher in Garden Grove School District in Garden Grove, CA, she retired in 1994 after 23 years teaching. Alice was a teacher, model, interior designer, pianist, vocalist, and a Christian, who did all things to glorify God.

Visitation and Services

A memorial service for Alice will be 9 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Family burial will be in Green Lawn Mememorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Husband Angel) Garcia of Ridgecrest, CA, daughter-in-law, Maria Beaver of Mattawan, NJ, 6 grandchildren; David Garcia of Fredericksburg, VA, Kathryn Garcia of Ridgecrest, CA, Sarah (Garcia) Robinson of Ridgecrest, CA, Nathan Garcia of Fort Hood, TX, Scott Beaver of Mattawan, NJ and Matthew Beaver of Visalia, CA and 5 great grandchildren.

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael Beaver and brother, John Paul Hart.
