Howard Leon Hatfield, 66, of Frankfort, died May 30, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born May 9, 1953 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Howard & Gevena (Warren) Hatfield.
Leon worked for Jim Michael’s Concrete as a mason for 48 years. He was raised in the Baptist Faith. Leon enjoyed old cars, hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors, was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. His pride and joy was his granddaughter, Josie.
Visitation and Services
Funeral celebration will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.

Son: Ryan Hatfield of Frankfort, Daughter: Bobbie Pitzer, Sister: Mary (Bobby) Pethel of Georgetown, KY, Granddaughter: Josie Hatfield, Niece: Ashley Hammons, Special Friends: Fred & Deb Click, Tommy Click and Deb Skow, as well as many extended friends.

a sister, Carolyn Hatfield and nephew, Paul Hatfield.

I knew Leon for almost 50 years, and he was a good guy! I was looking forward to you coming back to the Tri Five Nationals and coming out to my house for another cookout this summer.
