Eileen Huffer, 78, of Frankfort, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at her home. Born February 16, 1940 in Frankfort, Ind. to Edward & Edith (Bates) Esra. She married Larry “Butch” Huffer on July 16, 1957 and he survives.
Eileen was a 1957 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She worked for the Community Schools of Frankfort in the central office before becoming office manager and bookkeeper for Gal Mac Insurance, which later became A.E. Purciful Agency. She retired in 2017. Eileen was a member of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 60-year member of Order of Eastern Star, past member of Psi Iota Xi, and the Frankfort County Club.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Order of Eastern Star service will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the funeral service at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Lake will officiate the service. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice or St. Matthew United Methodist Church.

Husband: Butch Huffer of Frankfort, 2 Sons: Jon (Susan) Huffer of Bloomington and Joe (Charlotte) Huffer of Fishers, 4 Grandchildren: Krista (Matt) Douglass of Carmel, Bradley Huffer of Arvada, CO, Jacob Huffer of Carmel and Austin Huffer of Grand Rapids, MI, and 1 Great Granddaughter: Chloe Douglass.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hollingsworth and great grandson, Sawyer Douglass.
Larry, We were neighbors for many years and Eileen will be missed by everyone. You have our deepest sympathy.
