Betty Lou (Williams) Netzley

Betty Lou (Williams) Netzley, 95, of Frankfort, died October 8, 2024 in her home.  She was born on October 14, 1928 in Fairmount, Indiana to Fletcher and Mary Salina (Cox) Williams.

Betty worked for Pierce Governor Company in Upland, Indiana for many years.  When her health was better, she loved to shop and enjoyed collecting elephants.  In later years, she enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles and reading.

 Memorial donations may be made in Betty’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Visitation and Services

In accordance with Betty’s wishes, there will be no services held.  Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort and Clinton County Crematory are honored to assist the Netzley family.

Betty is survived by her Daughter: Debra Netzley of Frankfort; Sons: Steven Netzley of Frankfort and Jeffrey (Karen) Netzley of Huntington; Granddaughter: Christina Smeenk; and Great-Grandchildren: Tarquin Smeenk, Gabrelle Smeenk, and Addrianna Netzley-Gadd.  

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Nancy Jane Williams, Alice Butcher, Ollie Draper, Esther Hawkins, and Mollie Williams, her brothers: Samuel, Luther, Carl, and Paul Williams, along with her grandson: Wade Netzley.

    I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of my Great Aunt Betty. She and my father, Samuel Williams(Bud) were close in age and very close as kids. Sadly, he passed away in 2016. Betty continued to send me Christmas cards every year which was much appreciated. She will be missed.
