Nancy (Nan) Lou Daley, 89, of Lakewood, Colorado, died peacefully on March 5, 2024. Known as “Nan” to family and friends, she was born to Clarence and Lillian Clouser in Colfax, Indiana on July 16, 1934. Nancy grew up on farms in the Colfax area with her parents, sister, and three brothers. Her grandparents, Arthur and Rose Clouser, lived on a farm nearby. From first grade until graduation, Nan attended school in the same building, just as her father had 23 years earlier. She played the Saxophone in high school and was elected President of the Colfax High School Senior Class of 1952. After graduation, Nancy moved to Indianapolis to work as a Keypunch Operator for Lumberman’s Mutual Insurance. During that time, Nan met and married James Daley, the father of her three sons. In 1953, the couple moved to Dearborn, Michigan. They were married for 25 years. Nancy raised her sons while working for various businesses in the Detroit area. In 1980, Nan moved to Colorado and continued her career as a bookkeeper for an appliance dealer. Eventually, she became an office manager for an industrial gas vendor and then a paper company. Nan concluded her career as an insurance auditor when she retired in 2010. After arriving in Colorado, a friend introduced Nancy to Mile Hi Church, where she soon became a Practitioner and worshipped for nearly forty years. Nan is cherished as a wonderful friend, grandparent, mentor, and mother who was always willing to meet new people and lend a listening ear. She loved to read, travel, and watch sports, especially NCAA Basketball. Memorable trips took her to Egypt, Israel, and Rome.
