Emily Ann Newby, 79, has passed away.
She is survived by her brothers: Bruce Newby of Guadalajara, Mexico and Jay (Cheryl) Newby of Avon and sister: Cindy Brown of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nan McLain.
Burial will take place in Green Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Clinton County Crematory and Goodwin Funeral Home 200, S. Main St., Frankfort are assisting the family.

I think this is Emily Newby ,who lived briefly in Albuquerque. If it is, she was a great friend for many years here. I was only able to visit her once in Indiana. I have and will miss her, but I have our memories.

Facebook Twitter GoogleEmily and I met when we taught Adult Education together. She was an excellent teacher and lots of fun to co-teach with. We became friends. There were a number of times when I reached out to Emily to help me with life’s challenges. She was always willing to help. I will miss Emily – I am already missing Emily. I wish I had know what she was facing her last 6 months. But this was as Emily wanted things to be. She was “one of a kind”. I was so fortunate to have had Emily in my life.
