Duard Reece Ball, 89, of Frankfort, died December 12, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 24, 1934 in Tennessee, one of six children belonging to Claude and Myrtle (Jones) Ball. He married Evalene Taylor on January 27, 1952 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage before her passing on November 8, 2005.
Before moving to Frankfort in 1952, Duard was involved in farming. He then worked construction most recently for Gill Construction in Frankfort before his retirement in 1989. He always had a large vegetable and flower garden and took great pride in working with the land and being able to share the fruits of his labor with his family and friends. He loved fishing and enjoyed mushroom hunting and being outdoors with his family.
Visitation and Services
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

his Children: Dale Ball of Frankfort, Gail Merriman of Frankfort, Delbert Ball of Avon, Teresa Toney of Frankfort, and Joan Smith of Frankfort; Siblings: Elmo Ball, Charlene Hobbs, Kenneth Ball, and Jewel Kniess; 11 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

his parents: Claud & Myrtle Ball, wife: Evalene Ball, son-in-law: Chuck Toney, great-granddaughter: Paityn Duckworth, and sister: Christine Coe.
