Curtis N. Smith, 66, of Frankfort, died December 11, 2023 unexpectedly at his home.  He was born December 19, 1956 in Frankfort, Ind. to Emory J. & Patricia (Ward) Smith.

Curtis was a 1974 graduate of Clinton Central High School.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce.  He was stationed in Okinawa and was a translator for the Vietnamese.  He was a tool & die maker, working for Phillips Tool & Saw and retired from KayCo, both of Frankfort.  Curtis grew up in the First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort and enjoyed golfing, and reading.

Visitation and Services

A Celebration of Life will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Burial at a later date will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Survived by:

Mother: Patricia A. Smith of Frankfort, Brother: Michael B. Smith of Frankfort, Niece: Jessica Davis of Frankfort, and Great-Niece: Annabella Davis of Frankfort.

Preceded by:

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Dennis Smith.

    I went to a sunshine dance with him and had a good time. Saw him again at a class reunion at Kevin and Libby’s. I was so surprised to read of his unexpected passing and I send my sincere prayers for peace and condolences.. He was always a joy to be around and could make people laugh and feel good. Sending love and comfort for the family in this time of sorrow
