Tamara “Tami” Denise Hoyer, 61, of Bedford, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born in Quincy, Illinois on March 10, 1962. She graduated from Ishpeming High School (Michigan) in 1980. She was married to James (Jay) Ronald Hoyer, Jr. on August 31, 1985. She had one daughter Rachel Flud (Jason Flud) and 3 granddaughters (Willow, Sedona and Thea). She had a successful career at various companies, including 22 years at Northwestern Mutual before her retirement in 2020. Although Tami was devoted to her work, the most important thing in her life, besides her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was family. She loved her family fiercely and was invested in spending time with them.
Tami had an unwavering devotion to her faith and attended Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas for the past several years. She also had a passion for serving others and her light shined bright for everyone to see what a beautiful and wonderful person she was. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, with an infectious smile that lit up the room.
Tami had a passion for cooking and baking and loved entertaining family and friends with her culinary skills. Sweet treats were always a staple in the house and often fresh out of the oven. Needless to say, there was good food and fellowship in the house made with lots of love at all times. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jay, seeing the countryside and visiting family. Some of her favorite travel spots were Branson, Sedona, Colorado and the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. She loved to read her devotionals, romance novels and knew every Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. The house was always decorated throughout, capturing the magic of the season, accompanied by her joyous spirit.
