Edith May Boyd, 97, of Rural Frankfort, died at 10:37 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at her residence. Born July 22, 1912, in White County, she was the daughter of Alva A. and Callie May Cadwallader Hunley. On June 7, 1934, she married Donald E. Boyd in Tipton, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1998. Mrs. Boyd had previously worked for Pioneer Seed Corn in Tipton and also for the Peoples Life Insurance Company in Frankfort and Indianapolis. She attended Klondike School in Tippecanoe County before graduating from Tipton High School. She was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church, Clinton County Extension Homemakers and the Mulberry Methodist Craft Ladies in addition to being an avid Chicago Cubs and Purdue Boilermaker Fan.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Services there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Frankfort. Memorial donations may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice, 412 W. Sycamore St., Kokomo, IN 46901; or the Mulberry United Methodist Church, 206 Jefferson Road, Mulberry, IN 46058.

I am so sorry to hear of Edith’s passing. She was such a good neighbor in Antioch. We knew that Edith and Don would welcome any of us into their home. Edith was always smiling and pleasant and fun to be around. All of you have our deepest sympathy. I’m in South Carolina for the week or I’d be there.
