Markwood “Mark” A. Mohler, 71, died Friday, September 10th at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL following a brief illness. Mark was born in Indiana September 11th, 1949, the son of Clinton A. and Loleeta “Pete” (Stroup) Mohler. They preceded him in death. Mark graduated from Frankfort High School in 1967 and later from Ball State University with degrees in Political Science and Psychology. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Mark worked many years in the insurance business. Later he moved to Bradenton, FL where he resided until his death. Mark touched many lives; loved people and never met a stranger. Mark enjoyed music, dancing and social gatherings. He loved both fresh and saltwater fishing, taking many trips with friends and family. He was a sports enthusiast, played youth baseball and basketball and supported youth development in sports and academics.
Markwood lived life with such a positive attitude no matter his situation; he had so much fun with so many people and especially loved his time spent with family. He made sure everyone had a laugh with a story or lifted spirits with a unique compliment. He took a genuine interest in people, remembering details from previous conversations, no matter how long ago or how brief. We feel blessed to have so many memories with him and will truly miss him. He may also be remembered by his recent involvement with the “Mark & Bark” radio show in Bradenton Florida. Heaven just became more entertaining.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, family requests that donations be made in Markwood’s memory to the following The Boys and Girls Club of Manatee County (FL) at https://www.bgcmanatee.org/ or The Boys and Girls Club of Clinton County (IN) at https://www.bgcclintoncounty.org/

Facebook Twitter GoogleMark was always entertaining. From our days at Riley Elementary to our 50th class reunion he had stories to tell. He would have everyone hanging on his every word and laughing the whole time. The world will be less jovial without his storytelling and great sense of humor. RIP, my friend.

Facebook Twitter GoogleOur deepest sympathy to Mark’s family, and his many friends. Mark was one of a kind, a good friend since grade school, and one who could light up a room with his warm, outgoing personality and good humor. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him…it was so nice catching up with him at our 50th reunion, even for a brief visit. I am still trying to figure out what a goat rodeo is, RIP, friend, Mark…

Facebook Twitter GoogleMark was a neighbor for 8 years, and he was like a brother. When he needed help I was there. Now he decided to be with God and become an angel. His knowledge, God would want him on the counsel of hosts, may be an archangel. Have a great new life in Heaven Mark.
