Wilma J. Troxell

Wilma J. Troxell 91, Frankfort, IN, died at 3:55 a.m. September 18, 2009 at Wesley Manor. Born July 31, 1918 in Pence, Indiana to W. Otis & Pearl (Fisher) Downey. She married Martin Troxell on September 11, 1937 in Frankfort, IN and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1969. Mrs. Troxell was a graduate of Frankfort High School and Cosmetology School. A longtime Frankfort resident, she was a homemaker and beautician, working for Wesley Manor for 32 years, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Troxell was a member of the First Christian Church in Frankfort and the Literary Book Research Club. She had a great love of new words her whole life, was an avid swimmer and recreational golfer.

Visitation and Services

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11th at Wesley Manor Chapel.  Family will receive friends following the service in the Sociel Center at Wesley Manor.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church or Guardian Angel Hospice, envelopes available.

Daughter: Pequita (Jeffrey) Bludeau of Denver, CO 2 Grandchildren: Nicole Bludeau of Cincinnati, OH and Daniel (Virginia) Bludeau of Denver, CO Several nieces and nephews and their children also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, sister, Thelma Hardesty, half sister, Juanita Gabriel and half brother, Farrell Downey

    Farewell Aunt Billie! I’m so sorry I didn’t get by to see you before you left us! I loved you like my own & I will carry you in my heart forever!
    Jeff & Pequita-Hope this finds you and yours well. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you know how much I loved her! I have and will miss her SO much! She was dear friend and confidant!
