Sharon Sue Watchbaugh, 68, of rural Frankfort died December 19, 2017 at I.U. Health Frankfort Hospital.  She was born March 11, 1949 in Danville, Ill. to the late John A. & Mary D. (Hooton) Webb.  She married Albert Gene Watchbaugh on May 14, 1971 in Frankfort and he survives.

Sharon was a 1967 graduate of North Vermillion High School.  She was a clerk at the Frankfort BMV for 20 years and worked at Uni Electric for several years.  She had lived in Cayuga, Ind. before moving to Frankfort in 1967.   Sharon was a member of the Local 952 IUE, serving as Union Steward and President for 2 years and Chief Steward for 10 years.  She enjoyed bowling, reading and especially family gatherings.

Visitation and Services

Visiting from 4-6 p.m. Friday December 22, 2017 at DeVerter Funeral Home, Cayuga, Ind. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday December 27th at the funeral home. Burial will 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Shop with a Cop.

Husband: Gene Watchbaugh of rural Frankfort, Daughter: Gina (Craig) Rutledge of Frankfort, Son: Jamey (Companion Mandy Beauchamp) Watchbaugh of Frankfort, 3 Sisters: Vickie Webb of Cayuga, Ind., Linda Webb Myers of Cayuga, Ind., Brenda Webb Olsen of Greenwood, Ind., Brother: Bruce (Cindy) Webb of Monon, Ind., She is survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

    Dear Gene, Gina and Jamey and families, Our deepest condolences for your loss. Sharon was a great person to be around. I worked with Sharon at the BMV and she would tell it like it was be it good or bad. She could also have you laughing so hard you could burst. Sharon will be missed by those who knew her.     I have known Sharon for many years. We were the two that always got in trouble for talking to much. Between the two of us we knew every body that came into the license branch. She was a kind hearted caring woman who was liked by every one. She will be missed by everyone. Go Rest High On The Mountain. Chris Smith

    So sorry to learn of Sharon’s passing. The last time we talked, she reminded me of being in her wedding and was reminiscing about that day wanting me to visit and look at the photos again. I am sorry to say, I procrastinated too long and that day didn’t happen. I will, forever, be saddened about that. Please know that you are surrounded by a fellowship of love and may God grant your family strength during this difficult time.

    Stay strong Gene. I didn’t know Sharon well, but you and I worked together at Fed Mogul years ago. Losing a spouse is probably the worst thing we can go through. I’ve been there. God speed your comfort through this loss.

    I will miss Sharon very much. She was always so friendly to me and she had a way of making one feel she was really interested in what was going on with others. I enjoyed talking to her. She was fun. Deepest condolences to Gene and his children.

    Truly sorry to hear about Sharon. I remember if that cocker spaniel didn’t like you, Sharon always did. Wonderfully welcoming, delightful sense of humor. I can’t make the visitation, fighting the flu. We will get together another time, stay well buddy.
