Dear Hoffman family, It seems like I have known Dick forever, but really got to know him when we were both directors on the Fair Board. There was never a task to big or to small for Dick. He was always there to lead or lend a hand. I will always remember his big smile. He will be greatly missed.

Dick was like a brother to me as I was growing up, he was always there helping daddy on the farm, he was part of our family. He always called grandpa Patchett “Pappy”. I’m sure he’s with my late husband Jim in heaven laughing and enjoying old stories. Save a place for me, we’ll all be together again. I am so sorry BJ, my heart is crying for you and your family.

    Dear Hoffman Family,
We are so sorry about the passing of Dick. He was one of the good guys. Clayton & Cody learned how to make homemade ice cream with him on many camping trips with my parents. We always enjoyed visiting with Dick at Reagan Run Campgrounds. We will always remember him in his jeans, t-shirt and white tennis shoes. Heaven gained a truly wonderful man!

My sincere condolences to the Hoffman family. Dick was a classmate, team mate, and a man whose yes meant yes and no meant no. I have missed him and recall with fondness our antics at Clinton Prairie. He proved a much better friend than I deserved. I know he goes with God and will Rest in complete Peace. He was a good man, without a doubt.
