Ralph W. Will

Ralph William Will, 87, of Illinois, died October 21, 2017 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, Illinois.  Born November 17, 1929 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to Ralph & Dorothy (Scott) Will.  He married Barbara Scott on June 10, 1955 and she preceded him in death on November 23, 2012.  Ralph was a 1950 graduate of Kiskiminetas Spring School for Boys in Salzburg, PA.  Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was discharged from the 82nd Airborne Division in 1954. After his marriage, he went back to college and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.  Ralph was employed by the United State Steel Corporation and was a salesperson for Continental Cement in Hannibal, Missouri.  Ralph traveled to many parts of the country, living in Schaumburg, Illinois for 40 years.  He was a member of Our Redeemers United Methodist Church in Schaumburg.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Scott Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Son: Gregory (Beth) Will of West Lafayette, Indiana, Daughter: Tracy (Michael) Jensen of Elgin, Illinois, 2 Grandchildren: Megan & Michael Will of West Lafayette, Sister: Betty Griffith of Manassas, Virginia.

Preceded by:

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Boner.

    Love you DAD! Enjoy your time with MOM. I miss you both. Tell grandma and grandpa I love them. You will always be in my heart and thoughts. Rest in Peace.

    Our love and condolences to your family as you mourn the loss of your dad, and grandfather. Wish we could be with you. You, Ralph and Barb were long time friends. Your mom was my oldest son’s first grade teacher. We shared many outings and events with your dad, and other meetings and gatherings at ORUMC. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.     Our sympathy to all of the family of Ralph Will. As a cousin of his late wife, Barbara, we have known and remember Ralph from many years ago. He was always very friendly and a pleasure to know. To Greg, Beth, and family; also, to Tracy and Michael, we extend our prayers of sympathy. Though members of the family are no longer with us, they will live in our memory forever.

    I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of Ralph William Will. I am truly sorry for the lost that your family is feeling. Experiencing the lost of a beloved family member is one of the hardest thing that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. During this extremely difficult time, please turn to God for comfort and support. He promise to give your family the strength needed in order to endure this great lost. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Something else that can bring your family comfort is cherishing the wonderful memories that you have of Mr. Ralph.
