Phyllis I. Spear

Phyllis I. Spear 79, of Frankfort, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Born June 25, 1935 in Frankfort, IN to the late Henry “Hank” & Mildred E. (Grubbs) Conner.  She married Charles Spear in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1982.  A lifelong Frankfort resident, Phyllis worked in medical records at the Clinton County Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Delta Gamma Delta Sorority.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church.

Survived by:

2 Sons: Bill C. (Jennifer) Spear of Crown Point, IN, Michael Spear of Frankfort, Sister: Margo Bigham of Gulf Breeze, FL, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded by:

her brother, Richard Conner.

    So sorry to hear of your loss. We lost Mother 4/27/13 and Walt on 4/8/14. It is really hard to give them up. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We moved to Cayuga last year not far from where mom lived.

    Dear Mike, Bill, and families…Sending our condolences on Phyllis’s passing but know she is in a better place. I have such great memories of many fun times as we were growing up. How fortunate you were to have her as a mother and grandmother! Blessings to all……Diane
