Paulita Kay Ream, 78, of Mulberry, Ind., died at 4:08 p.m. August 22, 2018 at I.U. Health Arnett, Lafayette, Ind.  She was born June 30, 1940 in Frankfort, Ind. to the late Conrad Dana & Lucille Imajean (Morgan) Shanaberger.  She married Jerry Logan Ream on June 28, 1959 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1970. Paulita was a 1959 graduate of Frankfort High School.  She was Center Township Assessor for three terms and was a real estate agent in Florida.  She was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church.  Paulita loved to play euchre, was in a euchre club and was in the Colts Gang – Blues Crew.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Survived by:

2 Sons: Jeffrey Logan (Sue) Ream of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Anthony (Vicki) Ream of rural Frankfort, Ind., 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Preceded by:

a sister, Lula Ann Neher.

    As we all know-cancer sucks. Losing a love one to it is a ripoff, as too many of us know. I know that if you lean on one another, lend your strengths and accept help when and where you are weak, you can get through this. Living your life in the way your loved one taught and showed you is the best possible memorial. I lift you all up in prayer that you will find the strength needed to face these trials. Your Scouting family is ready to help you-just holler!

    Jeff and Mike, I will be out of town when your mother’s services occur. I know she loved you two very much and was a proud mama! We had good times talking about our boys and our trip to Ohio Village was a gem! Hugs and love to you both!

    Paulita was a classmate of mine. We met classmates the last Friday of the month until Sharon Heimbach died. We haven’t met since. Paulita came often and was so enjoyable visiting with her again and renew old memories. She will be missed by the class of ‘59. Goodbye old friend.
