Facebook Twitter GoogleI am sorry to learn this, Tom. I have been fortunate up to this point and have not had to lose a parent as a lot of our friends have who are our age. I am not taking that for granted. Blessings on you and your family today; they never quite leave us, you know, especially when you live in God’s promises. I’ll be thinking about you in the next few difficult days, my friend.

Facebook Twitter GoogleSincerest thoughts and prayers extended to all the Pearcy family. Sweet memories fill my heart when I reflect on Nancy. Her smile, so endearing – could light up a room!
When Ruthie and I started playing basketball (4th grade), Nancy never missed a game. I remember running to the Pearcy house directly into the kitchen after basketball practice. Ruthie discovered Nancy baking and promptly took a stack of warm chocolate chip cookies – she looked at me in sheer delight – smiled and said, “run” – it was about 2 seconds and Nancy quickened her much slower step behind us… everybody was giggling as we all ran out the front door.
She always had something for us. This included how we might improve – dribbling, speed, skill. She inspired countless people in her midst. Nancy’s leadership is legendary and will continue as we inspire others. Heaven sent, heaven returned.
I’m sorry I cannot be there in person.
Warmly,
Susan Deford
