Mazil Cheek 67 of Frankfort, IN, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. Born September 5, 1943 in Rose Hill, VA to the late John Morgan & Catherine Elizabeth (Martin) Cheek. Mazil was a graduate of Thomas Walker High School. She had lived in Frankfort for 35 years, working at Federal Mogul for over 30 years. She enjoyed being with her family.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 11th at Arney Mullins Funeral Home, Rose Hill, VA. Graveside services to follow at the Cheek Family Cemetery, Rose Hill, VA.

Daughter: Lisa (Gilly) Lawson of Hamilton, OH Son: Mike Cheek of Crawfordsville 4 Sisters: Louella (Roy) Ray, Benny Lou Gibson and Betty (Buford) Lemens all of Rose Hill, VA and Virginia (RC) Wilder of Cincinnati, OH 2 Brothers: June Cheek of Rose Hill, VA and Jimmy (Pat) Cheek of Tennessee 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren

    I am so sorry to hear of Mazil’s passing. I know how hard it is lose someone so precious to your heart.

    To Mazil’s family,
    I just read of Mazil’s passing and wanted to let you know I was thinking of you at this sad time. I worked with Mazil at Federal Mogul and for many years Mazil was my neighbor when we lived on Pratt and Blinn Ave. I always enjoyed knowing and visiting with Mazil. Please accept my sincere condolences.
