Mary E. (Blankenship) Allen 87 Frankfort, IN, died at 5:30 p.m. June 7, 2009 at her home. She was born August 14, 1921 in Hamilton, OH, to Benjamin Harrison & Margaret (Baker) Blankenship. She married Russell William Allen in 1975 and he passed in May of 1987. Mrs. Allen attended high school in Kalamazoo, MI and was a homemaker. She lived in Grand Rapids, MI most of her life, 30 years in Phoenix, AZ, moving to Frankfort in 2004. She was a member of the Christian Life Church.

Visitation and Services

Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Pastor Philip Jordan will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Buntin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Christian Life Church, envelopes will be available.

2 Sons: John Robert Allen of Frankfort, IN and Larry Corcoran of Grand Rapids, MI 1 Daughter: Margaret “Peg” (Husband Jerry) Hanna of Frankfort, IN 1 Sister: Dorothy Saylor of Santa Maria, CA 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren

    Dear John Allen & Family,
    Our deepest condolences to the whole family & friends. Your grandmother/mom was a good christian woman. Remember what she taught you about the Lord. We pray the Lord will comfort all of you in this time of mourning. What a joy knowing she is free from the sorrows of this earth. We know exactly the sorrow and pain you & your family are going through during this difficult time.. May time heal your hearts and may the Lord give you all the strength to carry on.
