Margaret G. “Gerry” Mathews 88, Frankfort, IN, died at 6:30p.m., March 13, 2015 at Milner Community Health Care, Rossville, IN
She was born July 27, 1926 in Owensboro, KY to Joseph E. & Dellen (Edge) O’Bryan
She married Russell L. Mathews on June 22, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2013.  Mrs. Mathews attended Frankfort High School and lived her early years in Peru, IN. She was a homemaker and had formerly worked for Jules Simon in Frankfort.  Gerry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was active in the Alter & Rosary Society, the Ladies of Charity and was a former member of the Strawberry Prayer Group.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Father Chris Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Children- Michael L. (wife Susan) Mathews, Mark L. (wife Linda) Mathews, Martin L. Mathews all of Frankfort, IN. Mary L. (husband Tony) Hammel of Lafayette, IN and Marsha L. (Rick Akers) Mathews of Michigantown, IN. Four Grandchildren-Matthew (wife Stacy) Rawlings, Jackie (husband Zack) Paulsen, Jacob Mathews and Kelly (husband Anthony) Salinas. Eight Great Grandchildren-Beckett, Skyler, Paisley and Eden Rawlings, Zeke, Cade & Sydney Paulsen, Tanner Mathews One Sister-Dorothy (husband Paul) Rock of Frankfort, IN
