So many beautiful memories of the Mertz families, my fathers’ cousins. Jane will especially be remembered for her sweet heart and positive friendships. We send much love to all from your Oklahoma family and are so thankful for the two reunions in recent years.

Yes, Mom loved watching our boys, Ryan and Jake, play football. She was in a football pass and catch competition with me 4 years ago. Amazing! Didn’t lose. Didn’t win. She just loved playing!

I was sorry to read of Jane’s death. We were friends a long time. We first met at Peoples Life where we both worked. Later in life we would see each other mostly at athletic functions at the high school. She was such a kind person. The picture of her and her husband is really a good picture. Shirley Ricker

Jan, my condolences to you and your family. I always enjoyed talking hoops with your Mother and believe I last saw you two at Ross-Ade a few years ago.

    • Janny July 26, 2017 at 10:12 pm

Thanks for your thoughts Craig. She loved sports. My uncle said she would have played basketball in college…she was that good. We sang school fight songs at her service. Just last year she was humming the Notre Dame fight song in the mornings. Thanks again!!
