James Marion Cox

James Marion Cox, 70, of Colfax, died at 9:45 p.m. June 14, 2018 at Clinton House.  Born December 6, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Virgil Doyle Cox & Martha (Chester) Dobson.  He married June A. Koch on October 15, 2005 in Forest and she survives.  James attended Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  James was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge, VFW, and American Legion.  He enjoyed fishing and camping.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wife: June Cox of Colfax, Ind., 3 Daughters: Valerie Spencer of Crawfordsville, Ind., Sheila (Rob) Moore of Otterbein, Ind. and Peggy (Derek) Hershberger of Darlington, Ind., Son: Mikeal Cox of Crawfordsville, Ind., Sister: Sharon Bowen of Fulton, Missouri, 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

    Sorry for your loss. Him and I go way back. Shared a lot of good times together. I know for the last few years his quality of life was poor, sure in a much better place. Will always have the memories. My love and prayers sent out to his kids and family. Dave Hall and family.

    I am so sorry for the loss of Jim. He was my karaoke partner for years. We loved to sing Alabama and other groups together..RIP my friend.
