Jackie L. “Jack” King, 82, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 6:15 a.m. March 6, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.  He was born May 11, 1935 in Clinton County to Frances “Frank” & Rosa (Gunnell) King.  He married Velva Scott on September 13, 1969 and she survives.

Jack attended Frankfort High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Peter Paul in Frankfort and was a custodian for the Community Schools of Frankfort, retiring from there.  He loved working on his yard.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Survived by:

Wife: Velva King of Frankfort, 2 Sons: Rocky King and Stoney King, 2 Step-Sons: Ronnie (Mary Ann) Stockberger and Brad (Sue) Stockberger, 2 Daughters: Cyndia Jones and Jackie Carter Crews, 2 Step-Daughters: Kim Bower and Debbie (Dave) Welchen, Brother: Robert King of Mississippi, Sister: Catherine Miller of Frankfort, and several Grandchildren.

Preceded by:

a sister and 2 brothers.
