Jack Burgin

Jack Burgin 93, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 12:53 a.m. July 22, 2016 at Riverview Health in Noblesville, Ind.  Born March 18, 1923 in Frankfort, Ind. to Walter & Mabel (Hughes) Burgin Sr. He was formerly married to Mary Myers.  He then married Betty J. Egbert on December 29, 1967 and she preceded him in death on October 5, 1993.  Mr. Burgin attended Frankfort schools and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during WWII.  Mr. Burgin worked for National Homes, retiring after 28 years.  He enjoyed raccoon hunting, Bingo, fishing, and Poker.

Visitation and Services

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Boone County. Memorial donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy.

2 Daughters: Evelyn (Ivan) Lawson of Jonesboro, Arkansas Elizabeth (Dan) Burgin-Day of Indianapolis 3 Sons: Jackie L. (Shirley) Burgin of Frankfort Jerry Burgin of Billings, Montana Johnny (Janice) Burgin of Frankfort 1 Step-son: Bill (Marilyn) Toney of South Bend 1 Step-daughter: Peggy Toney of Tennessee Daughter-in-law: Sherry Burgin 15 Grandchildren, several Step Grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Preceded by:

a son, Joseph Burgin, 2 sisters, Ruth Burgin and Mary Brown, 2 brothers, Jim Burgin and David Burgin and 2 step-sons.
