Hila M. Woodruff 86, Frankfort, IN, died at 6 a.m. June 1, 2009 at her home. She was born April 22, 1923 in Barren County, Kentucky to Willie T. & Edna (Jones) Curtis. She married Clyde D. Woodruff on June 15, 1940 in Clayton, MO. Mrs. Woodruff was a homemaker and lived in the Frankfort area most of her life. She was an avid golfer, a member of the Frankfort County Club for over 45 years where she participated in and won many local tournaments. She also enjoyed the Ladies Birthday Club there. Mrs. Woodruff especially enjoyed her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, IN. Paul Sutherland will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice, envelopes will be available.

Husband: Clyde D. Woodruff of Frankfort, IN 2 Sons: S. Daniel (Janelle) Woodruff of Logansport, IN and Barry (Doris) Woodruff of Frankfort, IN 2 Sisters: Reva Best and Eva Brittan both of Frankfort, IN 5 Grandchildren: Troy, Lisa, Ty, Clay, Kriss 9 Great Grandchildren: Jamae, Steven, Abbie, Morgan, Riley, Zakk, Brady, Hayden and Evan

    So sorry to hear of Hila’s passing. I am a second cousin of hers. My mother, Annie Gentry Veach wrote to Hila until she went to the nursing home. We talked to Hila once from mamas room. Sure would like to be there for Clyde and the boys, but it is impossible at this time.
    Just want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I will copy Hila’s obit and take it to mama. Mama celebrated her 98th birthday the 21st of May. God Bless all the family.
