Helen M. Griffin 84, passed away March 10, 2012 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born February 9, 1928 in Frankfort, Indiana to Garrett and Minnie Cambridge. She retired from Indiana Bell in 1980 after 31 years of service and worked for Indiana Bell in Frankfort and Indianapolis as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort, Indiana.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, Indiana. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Frankfort, IN. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, envelopes will be available.

Survived by:

She is survived by her daughter Juli (Husband Allen) Martin of Germantown, TN and granddaughters, Jennifer Martin of Memphis, TN and Andrea Cordes (Patrick) of Decatur, AL. Also surviving is her sister Dorothea Davidson of Tucson, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Thomas W. Griffin, brothers Lawrence, Marvin, Lester and twin brother Ivan Cambridge.

    Juli,
    I am very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have only fond memories of your family from South Columbia St. Frankfort as I was your childhood neighbor. My own parents ( Willis and Lena Wright) passed away Jan 11 & 12 of 2004.
