Haden E. “Bo” Smith

Haden Elmore “Bo” Smith, 80, of Frankfort died at 5:35 p.m. October 24, 2018 at his home.  Born April 7, 1938 in Summer Shade, KY to Hubert E. & Toy Ann (Dubree) Smith.

Bo attended Frankfort High School.  A veteran of U.S. Navy, he served from 1957 to 1963.  He was an electrician/crane operator on the railroad and retired from Amtrak. Bo loved being in the Navy, enjoyed playing music, golf, bowling, nature and being outdoors.

Visitation and Services

Private family services will be held. Donations may be made in memory of Bo to the Frankfort VFW or the Frankfort American Legion, with envelopes available at the funeral home. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort and Clinton County Crematory are assisting the family with arrangements.

Companion: Nancy Holderman of Tipton, Daughter: Paula (Byard) Cromer of Cutler, Indiana, 2 Sons: Andy (Leslie) Smith of Frankfort and Matt (Melissa) Cockrum of Michigantown, Brother: Norman (Ruthie) Spears of Lafayette, Sister: Ida “Ikie” Scott of Frankfort, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Preceded by:

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Smith, Jack Smith, Paul Smith, Roy Bartley and sisters, Maggie Renick and Marie Morgan.

    So sorry to hear about Bo..He was a great man. Lee (Garth) and I thought a lot of him. He was one of the good ones. Stay strong and hang on to all the precious memories you have of him.

    I haven’t seen Bo for years, my husband Doug Sanders had been friends for years. I guess they will see each other in heaven. My condolences to his family. God Bless
