Gloria Jean Conklin

Gloria Jean Conklin 63, of Frankfort, died October 9, 2011 at 10:05 p.m. at home with her family. Born January 6, 1948 in Clinton County to Elvis & Garnet (Timmons) Bridgewater. She married Gary Conklin, Sr. on November 6, 1965 and he survives. Mrs. Conklin was a 1966 Frankfort High School graduate. She worked at the Frankfort schools in dietary. Born in Frankfort and raised in the First Baptist Church, she moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1971 and back to Indiana in 1981. Mrs. Conklin was a loving mother, phenomenal cook, enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family at Lake Freeman.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.

Husband: Gary Conklin Sr. of Frankfort Son: Gary (Wendy) Conklin Jr. of Frankfort Daughter: Melissa (Fiancé Dustin Coffman) Conklin of Battle Ground 2 Sisters: Sandy (Bill) Shaw of Ocala Florida and Pat (Jim) Guckien of Frankfort Mother-in-Law: Grace Jeanette Conklin of Frankfort 10 Grandchildren: Cassie, Cara and Cami Conklin, Megan Sheets, Airman Justin (Heather) Sheets, Jennah and Marissa Coffman and designated grandchildren Brody, Taylor and Kye Kirby

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Charles Conklin and sister, Barbra Jean Bridgewater.
