Edwin Dial 91, of Frankfort, IN, died at 10:40 p.m. January 7, 2016 at Wesley Manor.  Born: July 11, 1924 in Springfield, IL to William Dial & Hattie Mae (Gay) Dial.  Mr. Dial attended schools in Decatur, IL and enlisted in the U.S. Airforce when he was 17. He was honored to be waist gunner and to serve in the Airforce during WWII. He retired from Western & Southern Railroad.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 12 Noon Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Private family services will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton County Cancer Fund and the American Legion of Frankfort.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, one son, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

    Jean and family, so sorry to hear about Ed. He was a very sweet man, and will be missed by many.

    Without a doubt one of the finest men that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! My heart goes out to the entire Dial family, but you should take comfort that you were able to spend the lengthy amount of time with Ed. Rest in peace……my dear friend, as you will greatly be missed.

    Jean and family, sorry for your loss. Eddy and I shared a lot of laughs and fun the days we worked together on the R/R. He will be missed.
