Doris I. Lamb 88, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 12:05 p.m. December 2, 2016 at Wesley Manor.  Born September 30, 1928 in Orange County, Ind., to William H. & Alma (Hollen) Pruett.  She was formerly married to Ralph Brakefield.  She then married Roy Lamb on August 18, 1970 in Spartanburg, SC and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1991. Doris moved to Frankfort from Orange County in 1938.  She then lived in Melrose Park, IL & Taswell, IN before returning to Frankfort.  She was an L.P.N., working for Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park for 25 years, retiring in 1985.  Doris was a member of Highfell General Baptist Church in Taswell, Ind.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Wesley Manor Chapel, 1555 N. Main St., Frankfort. Chuck Williams will officiate. Friends may visit for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund.

1 Daughter: Linda (Husband-Thomas) Walters of Frankfort, 1 Brother: Everett ‘Bud’ Pruett of Frankfort, 3 Grandchildren, Allen Walters, Andrea Myers and Margie Walters, 6 Great Grandchildren, Ryan & Kacey Walters, Jakob & Brie Mathews, Keegan & Cale Myers & 4 Great Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, Shelby & Taylor Myers, Special Friends: Dewilla Neal and Janie Bryant.
