Donald George Bess

Donald George Bess of Frankfort, formally of Webster, New York, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at age 80.  Don graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1953 and Purdue University in Chemical Engineering in 1957. He also served in the National Guard. He was employed by RG&E in a variety of positions, with the most recent being Division Manager of Gas Distribution.

Visitation and Services

Private services were held with burial in Plainview Cemetery in Colfax, Indiana where he had been residing near his daughters.

Survived by:

Surviving are his two daughters, Lauran (Tim) Swain of rural Colfax and Donna (Ben) Robertson of rural Frankfortand three grandchildren.

    Donna and Lauran…

    I’m sorry to have to have to send condolences to you a second time in such a short amount of time since your mother passed away. I never met your dad as I did Gretchen but I surely did benefit from his having lived when I met you, Donna. Again, today, peace to you girls as you must do this all again.
