Davina Leigh (Meeks) Impson

June 1, 2018

Davina Leigh (Meeks) Impson, 39, of Fairborn, Ohio and a former Frankfort resident lost her battle to Leukemia at 6:18 a.m. on June 1, 2018 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) in November of 2016. Since then, her days were filled with constant medical treatments and hospital visits. Despite all the hardship around her, she was always smiling and eager to help others.  She was and still is a beautiful soul that has touched many people throughout her life. Though it pains us to see her leave, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering. We would rather her be in the hands of God than in the hands of cancer, and for that, we are thankful.  Even though it seems that her life was short, it was filled with many memories that family and friends will forever cherish; and in turn, making her live forever. Davina was so full of life. Her laugh was contagious and her smile was comforting. It could light up the whole room. The party didn’t start till she walked in! Definitely the life of the party. There was never a dull moment with her around.  Born May 31, 1979 in Frankfort, Indiana to Gordie & Patty (Wyatt) Meeks. Davina attended Frankfort High School and then later, received her G.E.D.  Throughout her life, she made many sacrifices and had many jobs in order to take care of her family. Nothing could stop her from providing for her children.  She loved music, comedy, fishing with her husband, Joe Impson, and bonding with her friends and family. Once, she caught a 30 lb catfish! What a catch; just like her.  She gave birth to three beautiful children; Morgan Parsons (19), Alvi Impson (14) and Ryan Winchester Jr. (7). Through them, her sense of humor, loving heart, and life lessons will be carried on for years to come.

I met Davina just a few short months ago and her smile lit up the room when she walked in. She was such a BEAUTIFUL lady with such a BIG heart. I read all the condolences and I can tell how much of a WONDERFUL person she was and how deeply loved she was by so many. My Grandfather adored her and said she looked like a “Movie Star” to him. She will be so dearly missed by all of us. ~Amy Michelle

    Patty & Gordy,
My heart aches for you all. No parent should ever have to go through the pain and suffering as you have watching two of your precious children pass along. I know Davina is no longer in pain. As well as Josh. I can see those two already reunited and catching up and just laughing away. Just like we all did when we were growing up together. No one could ever make me laugh as hard as Davina. Her spirit was contagious! My love goes out to your entire family. My brother Ryan and I are blessed to have grown up with you family over the years. In addition to working with you so many years Patty at Donaldson’s. Patty you are one amazing lady! We love you all. With much regret we will not be able to attend the service- my brother is getting married the same day. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

  22. Lynn Paddack June 6, 2018 at 10:43 am
